21 Years of Memories
by The Midlands Writer · · Updated · 2 min read

Twenty-one years ago, Linda and I walked through the doors of the beautiful Calderwood Hall Manor, and, at that time, never imagined the journey that would unfold. What began as a vision has blossomed into something far more precious than weddings alone; it’s become a sanctuary for memories.

Calderwood has been the backdrop for our family’s most cherished moments. From my father’s farewell to my mother’s 80th celebration, family weddings to anniversaries and christenings, year after year, this home has held us all. The Coetzer clan has made it our celebratory home, and in doing so, we’ve discovered something magical: families don’t just arrive here; they feel like they belong.
Over two decades, we have watched Calderwood evolve. We’ve rebuilt and reimagined with the prevailing trends. We have learned to embrace the changing seasons. We experience all four of them, moving from deep winter snow to outdoor events on beautiful sunny days. We’ve welcomed fur babies as family members, watched our grandchildren play in treehouses and puddles, and created spaces for vow renewals and first weddings alike.

But the true heart of Calderwood isn’t measured in seasons or changes to our gardens and amenities. We measure it in the connections that are forged, the celebrations witnessed, and the sense of home we’ve created for every guest who walks through our doors. People arrive here as guests and leave as friends!
Here’s to 21 more years of making memories.
